On Thursday the 8th of November 2018  the Monamolin and Kilmuckridge girls competed in a Rackard League county final against in St Patricks park, Enniscorthy at 5:45 against Our Ladies Island from Wexford. We warmed up and then we took some shots on Malin our goalie. The match then got started and Our Ladies Island got a goal and a point but we slowly caught up with them by half time we were only two points behind. We kept our heads high during the second half and we scored a goal or two and a few points but then they came back and scored about three goals and a point or two. The whistle then blew for full time and we were devastated. We all played a great match and only lost by a goal and two points. We were all very proud of ourselves to get to a county final and we made history during the process seen as the girls of Monamolin and Kilmuckridge have never made it to a county final before, so we are very proud.

DISTRICT FINAL

We played many matches to work up to this day and on the 19th of October 2018 , Kilmuckridge and Monamolin national schools from 4th to 6th class got into a district final.

We came up against  Castletown they were a very strong team, who we were familiar with . We all were so nervous and eagar to get onto the pitch to play them  in a very competitive match.

Both teams were equally as good but there was a big difference in the score . As the match went on both teams got stronger and stronger. As we approached half time we were excited  to take on the next half as we knew we were winning .

Half way through the second half, Castletown  came back with great points, But we  managed to pull through with an amazing end score of 6-13 to 1-5 and now we’re in the County Semi-Final on Thursday the 25th of October  2018 against Ballidagan
